Team GB finised the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in fourth position in the medal table with 47 medals in total, including 19 gold, 13 silver and 15 bronze.
This was Great Britains best Olympic performance for 100 years.
Last night in Beijing the Olympic torch was handed over to Boris Johnson in a star-studded display including footballer David Beckham and X Factor winner Leona Lewis, marking the start of the London 2012 Olympiad.
