Khan confident ahead of Barnstaple clash

10:00am Thu 11th Feb 10:: written by Charles Watts

Maids coach Ricky Khan insists his team can pick up their second win of the season against Barnstaple on Saturday.

The last time the two teams met Barnstaple ran out 34-14 winners earlier in the campaign.

But Khan points to his team’s second half display during that game as proof that they can hurt the club from Devon.

He said: “We disintegrated in the first 20 minutes.

“They killed us in the scrum that day so that’s something we will have to look out for.

“But after that first 20 minutes we gave them a real game and caused them problems.

“I think we won the second half so we showed we can cope with them.”

He added: “We have to stay consistent for the entire  80 minutes.”
