Sinclair keeps Slough in the hunt

9:38am Mon 8th Feb 10

A first half strike from Steve Sinclair gave Slough Town a 1-0 win in their Midlands Division clash at Woodford United on Saturday.

Sinclair was on hand to fire home from close range after Sean Sonner had hit the post just 10 minutes in.

Elsewhere Burnham kept up the pace with Slough and the other pacesetters in the division with a 3-0 victory against Browmsgrove Rovers at the Gore.

Denis Fenemore scored a goal in either half to add to a strike from new boy Ross Lafayette as the Blues eased to the win.

It wasn't such a good day for Marlow, however, as a goal 13 minutes from time condemned them to a 2-1 defeat at Stourport Swifts.

Yashwa Romeo had drawn Kevin Stone's side level in the first half after the home side had taken an early lead.
