At the same time that the British & Irish Lions go into battle in South Africa, talented Berkshire Youth Rugby player Ben Pritchard, of Claire’s Court School, has been selected to attend the high profile Stellenbosch (Matie) Rugby Academy.

The academy in South Africa has previously produced 164 Springboks at national level.

Pritchard, formerly of Maidenhead RFC who now plays for Newbury and London Irish Academy, will then tour Malaysia and compete in the prestigious Sembilan Royal Rugby Tournament where representative national teams from China, Fiji, Thailand, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and South Africa will take part.

He will joined by fellow Berkshire player Dominic Gosling from Reading.

Pritchard travels in mid-June for a one-month tour and is seeking financial sponsorship to assist with flights, accommodation and educational activities.

If you would like to contribute to sponsorship, please send Pritchard an email on benpritchard199@hotmail.co.uk.
