The Advertiser's car buying website Motors.co.uk has joined the carnival team after pledging £3,000 for this year's firework display.

Maidenhead Carnival, which will be the biggest single event in Maidenhead's social calendar, will take place over the weekend of Friday, June 11 to Sunday, June 13 at Kidwells Park and is completely free of charge.

A packed three-day programme of events is planned this year from live music to relaxing picnics in the park. There will also be a grand parade, fireworks, and Punch and Judy.

Motors.co.uk is the second biggest car buying website in the UK with more than 3,500 registered car dealers, around 150,000 used cars and 15,500 new cars on its website.

Other sponsors for Maidenhead Carnival include £6,000 from the Louis Baylis (Maidenhead Advertiser) Charitable Trust, which owns the Advertiser, and £10,000 from Shanly Group, the event's main sponsor.

For more details about how your business can take part in the carnival contact Steph James on 01628 796 128 or email maidenhead.tm@rbwm.gov.uk

* Motors.co.uk will be in the Nicholsons Shopping Centre tomorrow along with their brand icon, a 10ft Big Blue Wheel.
