Court date delayed for man charged with murder

A man charged with murder after a body was found in a Slough alleyway has had his court appearance put back again.

Manpreet Singh Chahal, 22, of Canterbury Avenue, Manor Park, was charged with the murder of Virnderpal Singh, 20, also of Canterbury Avenue.

Mr Singh's body was found in an alleyway near his home on April 3 this year.

Chahal was expected to appear at Reading Crown Court today but he will now appear for directions next Monday.
