Booze application refused

An application to sell booze at Costcutters in Chalvey has been refused by Slough Borough Council.

Paramjit Kaur had wished to sell alcohol at the shop in Ledgers Road from 7am until 11pm, Monday to Sunday.

Campaigners collected 240 signatures on a petition to oppose the application.

The application was refused by councillors at the council's licensing sub-committee at the Town Hall last night.
