A cannabis factory has been uncovered in a Cox Green road this morning.

Officers from Maidenhead Neighbourhood Team had got a tip off that unusually large amounts of soil had been taken into the property in The Fairway and they carried out a search warrant.

They found the rented property had been transformed into a drugs growing operation.

Six officers and one PCSO have been at the property since just before 8am this morning clearing out the plants and the heating, lighting and ventilation equipment.

Sgt Martin Littlewood said: "We have arrested one Vietnamese male at the address and he was taken into custody."
