9:00am Fri 2nd Jul 10:: written by Steve Spencer

Paul Coyne has become a Slough Town FC player.

As expected, the midfielder has left Burnham, the club he joined from Windsor & Eton last year, to complete a move to Holloways Park.

Coyne, who has also played for Marlow, will reunite with  former Blue Stuart Swift in central midfield for Slough.

“I had a phone call from him at the beginning of last week,” confirmed manager Steve Bateman.

“It all happened really quickly. He said he wanted to leave Burnham and we agreed something from there.”

Bateman added: “He’s a good player who’s done well against us in the past.

“I remember him from his days at Watford – he’s very good.

“He’s a local lad and I wanted to add some more local players into the squad this season.”
