Cricketing and Strictly Come Dancing star Mark Ramprakash will be guest of honour at a Windsor Boys' School sports dinner on March 5.

The England cricketer and former winner of the BBC One smash-hit show is set to attend the Maidenhead Road school's sportsperson's dinner.

'Ramps' as he is commonly known, has been a prolific run scorer for Middlesex, Surrey and England in a distinguished career and is among a select group of batsmen who have racked up over a hundred centuries in their careers.

Outside of cricket he won the strictly dancing show alongside Karen Hardy, waltzing to victory in 2006 and also in the Sports Relief episode in 2008.

A three-course meal, music, speeches and an auction of cricketing and non-cricketing memorabilia will feature during the evening.

For information on the event and to get tickets call Kim Lewis on 01753 716060.
