Consistency the key for Scott

The key to winning the Southern League South & West Division is consistency according to Royalists boss Keith Scott - and he should know.

His team are 25 matches unbeaten and 15 points clear at the top of the table, after Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Thatcham Town.

Windsor are showing all the hallmarks of a team destined to scoop the title, and according to Scott it’s consistency which will be the decisive factor.

He said: “I have always said it’s about consistency. It’s not all about how you play.

“During this period of the season, with games coming thick and fast, especally as postponed matches have been rearranged, consistently picking up points is key.

“You have to have the strength and character to come through this period.

“With so many matches, any team can beat any other team, as recent results have proved.

“So regardless of where your opponents are in the table, they will pose a threat.

“For us the next threat comes on Saturday against Mangotsfield.”
