Witnesses are being sought after an 'unprovoked' attack on a man in a park in Farnham Royal in broad daylight on Tuesday morning.

A man was out jogging when he was attacked in Farnham Park at 11.55am.

Det Con Tim Waterworth, the investigating officer, said the victim had seen the offender, who was also out running, twice while he jogged around the park.
On the third occasion, the offender punched the victim in the head, knocking him to the ground, where he punched and kicked him.

Det Waterworth said: "He sustained severe injuries during this unprovoked assault and I appeal for anybody with information to come forward so we can bring the attacker to justice.”

The suspect is an Asian man in his mid-twenties. He is 5ft9ins and has a wiry athletic build and dark skin. He has dark hair and had stubble at the time, with an oval and thin face. He had thick eyebrows and brown eyes.

He was wearing a navy blue 'beanie' style bobble hat, a navy crew neck sweatshirt, tracksuit bottoms in royal blue which were cut off below the knee, and white court or tennis style trainers.”

Call Det Con Waterworth with information at 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
