Taplow youth choir crowned best in UK at BBC competition

Young singers from around Maidenhead have been crowned the best youth choir in the UK after triumphing at a BBC competition.

Taplow Youth Choir wowed judges to win the youth section at the prestigious BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year competition at the weekend.

The 60-strong band of singers stole the show at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall and will have their sweet-singing voices aired on national radio this Sunday. They will now compete in the grand final at the Royal Festival Hall on December 7.
