Singing course for youngsters

The snide remarks and quick-fire put downs of Simon Cowell could become a thing of the past for Marlow singers looking to uncover their own X Factor.
That is because smash hit record producer and Marlow man, Mike Hurst, is launching his own music course for youngsters.
The man who transformed Cat Stevens from a pop drop out into an eighties icon is now focusing his attention of developing the vocal talents of singers in his own neighbourhood.
The guitarist enjoyed fame and popularity in the sixties while on tour with Dusty Springfield and her brother Tom before turning his considerable talents towards producing.
Mr Hurst, who recently published a book chronicling the history of popular music will sit down with children, aged from eight to 11 and 12 to 17, for one hour each week, teaching them the tricks of the trade.
The Saturday morning sing-along is set to start from May 31 and each class will be restricted to a maximum of six pupils. Mr Hurst is also available to give private one to one lessons for big time singers with big time talent.
Mike's experience covers four decades of rock and pop and he has produced more than 50 hit singles. There really is no better place to begin that twisting road towards fame and fortune.
For more information contact Mike on 01628 475520.
