Man on firearms charges

A man from Bourne End appeared at court at the weekend charged with possessing automatic firearms.

Garry Sylvester Lewis, 37, of Blind Lane, attended Reading Magistrates Court on Saturday charged with several offences under the Firearms Act.

These include possessing a firearm or ammunition with intent to enable another person to endanger life.

Lewis is also charged with possession, manufacture and transfer of prohibited weapons and the conversion and distribution of prohibited weapons, namely MAC 10 automatics.

Grant Wilkinson, 33, from High Wycombe, also appeared on Saturday.
Lewis will appear before Reading Crown Court on March 13, 2008.
