Based on a moving true story, this is a story about a distinguished professor who finds Hachi - a stray Akita puppy – while on his way home from work.
At first his wife objects to the new arrival, but before long Hachi endears himself to the family and becomes the professor’s loyal companion.
As the bond between the pair deepens, a relationship develops that inspires the hears of an entire town.
Starring Richard Gere, Sarah Roemer, Joan Allen and Jason Alexander.
