Jarvis 'title race is down to three'

8:00am Thu 4th Mar 10:: written by Charles Watts

Burnham boss Jamie Jarvis believes the league title race is now between three sides.

The Blues currently sit level on points at the top of the Midlands Division with long term leaders Hitchin Town.

There is then a nine-point gap to third placed Bury Town, who hold three games in hand on Jarvis’ side.

The Burnham boss believes the title will be won by one of these three sides, ruling out the challenges of Slough Town and Chesham United.

He said: “It’s between the three of us at the top. I think Slough and Chesham are out of it.

“I’m surprised Slough have fallen away and Chesham went a bit earlier on in the season.

“It’s going to be very tight, Bury are my favourite side so far, they are a very good team.

“But we’ve got to play most of them at home so it’s in our hands.”
