Developer the Shanly Group has donated £10,000 to become the main sponsor of this year's Maidenhead Carnival.

The biggest single event in Maidenhead's social calendar will take place over the weekend of Friday, June 11 to Sunday, June 13 at Kidwells Park.

A packed three-day programme of events is planned this year from live music to relaxing picnics in the park. There will also be a grand parade, fireworks, and Punch and Judy.

Shanly Group have been sponsoring the event for several years.
Tamra Booth, of Shanly Group, said they were pleased to help make such a fantastic community event take place again this year: "The Shanly Group are very pleased to support the Maidenhead Carnival as we have in past years. It is a vital and positive part of the Maidenhead cultural calendar and this year's plans sound very exciting."

Other sponsors for the event include the Louis Baylis (Maidenhead Advertiser) Charitable Trust, which owns the Advertiser, and has pledged £6,000.

The carnival needs to raise £40,000 in total to make sure the event can take place.
