No plans to improve M4 gridlock despite complaints

Highways Agency bosses have said there are no immediate plans to improve rush-hour traffic flow for motorists trying to reach the M4 - despite receiving 23 complaints since December.
Reprogramming of traffic lights on the motorway slip road and reduction of lanes on the junction 8/9 roundabout have caused regular queues of traffic.
The agency has said the moves were made to improve safety and will remain in place. About 50,000 vehicles use the roundabout every day.
A spokesman for the agency said: "We accept the changes have led to some local delays. But safety has to be our priority."
The HA also said they will be monitoring the situation.

- What a mess they have made of yet another project meant to improve our roads. Why did they bother it worked well before or atleast better than now. Saying it improves safety is nonsense in my view as the lanes throw you round even more now and dont really recollect a huge amount of accidents on the 8 & 9 junction and i use it everyday
- I regularly use this junction coming down the A404 from High Wycombe. At rush hour, the traffic is a joke since they made the 'improvements'. Once again mindless health & safety ruining the lives of ordinary people. It now takes me 15 -20 mins longer to get home every day thanks to the Highways Agency. Perhaps you could publish the means by which others could complain?
- I have to agree with the other comments here, the highways agency have made a total bo****ks up as usual. It would be great if someone started an online petition about this (I have no idea how to do this or I would) Maybe the maidenhead advertiser could get behind this
