Flowers have been laid at the scene where a man was found dead in his Mercedes car in Waitrose car park in Twyford.
The grim discovery was made early on Sunday morning before the London Road store opened for business and police were called to the scene at 7.50am.
Tributes to the man, who has not been formally identified, have been laid at the village centre spot where he was found. One note read: "To our dear dear son, from your ever loving parents.
"We will never forget you, may you rest in peace, all our love, from your mum and dad."
The circumstances of the 45-year-old's death are unclear. It was initially viewed as 'unexplained' but officers have now said they do not suspect foul play.
The matter is now in the hands of the East Berkshire Coroner's office who said the man wouldn't be identified until the end of the week, when an inquest is expected to be opened.
