State of roads: ‘horrific’

I would like to jump on the bandwagon, while it is still rolling – Berkshire roads!

Maidenhead in particular. In 1949 my husband and I came to Maidenhead from the Wirral (Merseyside). Consequently we had an annual trip back ‘home’ to visit the family.

It was a standing joke on our return journey to know when we hit Berkshire roads. Well, we are now in 2010 and the same problem is rearing its ugly head.

I don’t know about Berkshire, but I do know about Maidenhead, Wessex Way in particular. How there hasn’t been a fatality on that section I just can’t comprehend – in a word it is ‘horrific’.
