Another restaurant in the Royal Borough has been awarded a prestigious Michelin star.
The Royal Oak in Paley Street, co-owned by Sir Michael Parkinson and his son Nick, is included in the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2010, which will be available in bookshops from February 1.
This year England gained just five new Michelin stars and there are now only 140 Michelin star restaurants in the whole of the UK.
This includes The Fat Duck and The Waterside Inn, both in nearby Bray.
Sir Michael said: "It has always been our aim to have a top quality restaurant not just pie, chips and crisps. We have now achieved what we wanted, an upmarket restaurant and this is really just the start."
Son Nick said: "It wasn't a total surprise, as we have been gradually improving our restaurant with the aim of achieving this standard. It truly is a well deserved award for the efforts of head chef, Dominic Chapman, and restaurant manager Mo Gherras, and their teams."
To celebrate the award, the pub is offering a special lunchtime two course menu for £15.00 per person.
