A watering-hole has started serving pints again after being saved by a group of community-minded regulars.
A total of 17 diverse characters, have taken over The White Hart in Shurlock Row and relaunched it as The Shurlock Inn.
An airline pilot, stewardess, teacher, bank manager, IT professional, graphic designer, builder, conference organiser, retired stockbroker, scientist and marketeer are all among the group.
They have brought their unique skills together from designing the interior to negotiating a tax break from the Government for buying the business.
It has undergone a massive revamp since the villagers bought it in February, stumping up the cash to purchase it from Enterprise Inns and save it from extinction.
Drinks and food were served on June 11 for the first time since its closure, with the new-look pub now also featuring an al fresco area, family garden, dining area and a glistening hand-made bar.
Punters had feared the end was nigh for it in February, after the death of the landlord of more than 30 years, Mike Howe.
WATCH: Hear from some of the new owners in our video report above.
