Budding young chefs took to the hob in the final of the Masterchef competition at Cox Green School on Wednesday.

Pupils from year nine took part in the event, in which they had to plan, cook and serve a three course meal for two people costing no more than £12.

The winners received an £80 voucher to have a meal at Jonathan's restaurant in Maidenhead for their efforts, and Francesco's also offered prizes to the runners-up.
